A Good Start

Day 1 of the new job went well. As with any orientations, it's a barrage of information that I do not know how to use yet. It's like drinking from a fire hydrant! Since it's a remote job, I did not have to leave the house today. But to get me into work mode, I still prepared myself - did my hair and makeup (which are just light and simple as it's a work thing), put on some business casual outfit, and I even wore my work shoes. It worked as it helped me get into the role better. I was not feeling well as Aunt Flo decided to visit last night. I know I do not have the energy to cook dinner and go with my husband for our afternoon walks. He said he'll take care of dinner, so I can take a walk with him. By taking care of dinner he means going to 5 Guys. I should have known better, but I am not complaining. Now, fed and showered, I am in my jammies with a sheet mask on my face trying to play catch-up on here. I need to remind the husband that tomorrow is trash and recycling day. I already rounded up all the trash and recyclables in the house, so all he needs to do is take the bins out. Happy Monday!

Hi, Raine! You're off to a great start! It's understandable that the orientation would be overwhelming with a lot of information. Working remotely sounds convenient. I'm curious to know more about the nature of the job and how you adapt to the remote setup. What kind of tasks are you handling?

I am glad your first day went well. It's good to dress for work as if you were leaving the house to go to it.
