Short story: When we do not understand, ask somebody else for their input

George Livingston was reading a verse in the Christian Bible, which initially stumped him, as to the meaning. This verse was this one: "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment." It is from Matthew, chapter 5, verse 22. He was confused as to what a cause was here. If we had a good cause, we can be angry with our brother then? Reaching into anger by attaching a cause to it allows anger to rise up in you, but even so, you are a fool to allow anger to so rise, but are better off keeping your cool, at all times. You are to leave anger alone, and to reach past it into love, but attaching a cause to anger extends its reach, and this should not be even allowed either, as anger should never rise, even when a cause exists, let it go, and live in love instead. Anger will arise and will be felt, at times, but never let it rise past that initial feeling, as then it will invariably cause you problems. Let it go, as soon as you feel, and first notice, it in you. These were his thoughts about this verse, but on the coming Sunday, he took another parishioner, in his church aside, after the service, and he asked this lady as to what she thought that that verse meant too. She simply told him this: "Another translation of that verse is this one" '"But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother, or sister, will be subject to judgment."' "We should not therefore ever give in to the energy of anger when it arises in us, but to stay always in the energy of love, instead." "That first translation that you read was just a bad translation, as we never have a just cause to exhibit anger at anyone in our lives." George was happy with that explanation, and he thanked the lady for her wise words, that helped him here to understand more this verse. Yes, we should curb our anger, before it leads us into sinning.
