A house fire in Brooklyn New York on Tuesday morning that burned down a two story building ended with seven civilians who suffered minor injuries from the fire. Thanks to the actions of male whose last name is Islam who was inside of the building that was on fire, he was able to get members of his family out of the first floor safely. The problem is that the other tenants who were in the second floor were trapped when Mister Islam yelled at the parents and their six children who were trapped in the roof to jump down to the first floor so they could be caught by their neighbors. Four of the six children did jump into the arms of the neighbors who were waiting outside the burning building as well as the parents. The New York Fire Department firefighters were able to arrive at the scene of the fire and rescue the two children and get them out of danger. The firefighters did put out the fire in about one hour. The American Red Cross is assisting the victims of the fire to find temporary homes at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities. I know what you mean since it takes a lot of courage to jump off of a second story burning building.
