Ultima Online is the Internet's premiere virtual world. It?s a role-playing game you access through a Web connection. You choose your own virtual life and immerse yourself into the mystical, medieval world of Britannia, where you have an unprecedented degree of freedom to shape your own destiny. You actually become a part of the epic saga that unfolds on a daily basis.
Really, UO is whatever you make it to be. When we asked some of our current Ultima Online players to tell us what it is to them, the most common answers were:'UO is somewhere I can meet new people and enjoy the company of friends.' 'UO is where I can fight mythical creatures to the death!' 'UO is the most exciting virtual space I've ever existed in!' 'UO is where I've made friends from all over the world!' 'UO is where I can be a virtuous knight, or an evil, treacherous mage.' 'UO is the place where I can be whatever I want to be.'

Yes, I like Uo, I think that Ultima online is the best online role play in the world, also if it is old.

I actually started playing UO a long long time ago. About the time UO lord blackthorns revenge was released I started playing on one of the local servers, which was run on sphere emulator, was RP oriented and pretty stable. Back then I had a dial-up connection and made some pretty high bills. In any case UO made me love computer games. It gave developers the freedom to change the game world, shape it, change the game mechanics (The server I played on was level based, unlike OSI servers), to add custom content. That is why UO survives to this day. Since then I went through all the data discs and many many servers. Some offer a lot of custom content (I prefer these), others are OSI style. The graphics are largely outdated by now, but the constant development of the freeshards in particular gives you a reason to log in daily. I still play UO a lot, though other MMO games take a lot of my time too. I will never forget UO.

UO is one of the best mmorpgs...or it was. But i like to play on private servers, they're better imo.
