Oh, the birds got to go on a car ride today and to the bird store. Where both Mango and Teal got there nails clipped and there wings. Don't worry this process doesn't hurt them at all. Their flight wings needed a little clipping so they couldn't fly. They can still very much flutter this is to keep them from going to far if for some reason they get out of the house. We gave them plenty of treats and loving even thought one is still giving some death bird glares at my husband.

I never saw that kind of process... the only thing I know is you have to cage them in one week, that's how my older cousins do and their friends with their birds. And then after that they let them fly, and call them back by clapping and whistle to them. Those are one of the best memories back in the days when there is no internet yet.

You don't have to cage them in one week. It takes several months for their clipped flight wings to actually grow back into places. Not all birds can be trained like that you have to know the type of bird and concurs are not that type. They are mimic birds, not birds that can be trained to do certain tasks or commands. Yes, some will pick up certain things. My husband's older bird does kiss at bedtime but she and the other bird are not trained to not fly away.
