Twisting words.

We are all aware that words can be twisted, key information omitted or downright lies can be told to us by those with an agenda. I'm currently learning about Ultra-Processed Foods and I'm finding it interesting that some "fitness gurus" and the healthy-eating industry are coming out with some interesting "responses" that are nothing to do with Ultra Processed Foods. I got shown a reel on the Book of Faces where one such fitness guru started banging on saying "all food is processed and processed food isn't bad for you" and that "people are panicking". If people are panicking it's because they don't have the right information. Processed food and Ultra-processed food are NOT the same thing and are not interchangeable. It's a bit like the difference between saying "Jumping out of a plane without a parachute is bad" and then someone going "lots of people fly and flying in a plane is perfectly safe". Different things entirely! The thing that bugs me is that these people KNOW they are lying - by using terms confusingly and telling you contradictory opinions as if they were facts. If only people's noses grew when they lied!

Why would 'fitness gurus' be advocating processed foods? I'm confused.

I think some of them jump on any excuse to post something because it's how they make money.
