Bear gets aboard a boat in Florida

A black bear that smelled food aboard a sailboat in Royal Harbor near Naples Florida caused the members of the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club which did cause Todd Dillman who is the owner of the Towboat U S Naples-Marco Island who was pushing a barge back to the bay.
Todd was able to see the bear enter the bar inside of the sailboat when he and the other eyewitnesses called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) to come and do what they could to help dealing with the bear that was inside the sailboat looking for a meal.
The officials of the FWC mentioned that are watching the movements of the bear who is inside the sailboat before taking action to remove the bear from the sailboat even though black bears like their privacy and are not known to go to crowded places like a yacht club in the first place.

I was thinking the same thing since black bears do not like to be in crowded places where humans are seen together.

I hope that nobody was hurt. Usually it is simple to deal with these animals. The oficials have rifles loaded with a sort of anethesic and they put it to sleep before taking it out.

That is true since it is against the law for wildlife officials to take the life of an animal unless it is self defense.

Bears are getting to be a problem when they are looking for food. I hope the bear went back to his home without anyone or the bear getting hurt.
