Does anyone have information about home-based accounting businesses?

I am going to school right now to get my associates in accouting and want to work from home when I finish schooling. Is there anyone here that has experience doing this. I already have my father wanting me to transfer all his accounting files onto the computer. Is that a good start? It is 4 years worth of accounting for his business. He is also planning to leave my sister and I his business when he retires and wants one of us to be hands on involved in it. For doing his accounting paperwork, does anyone know about how much I should charge. Please understand I am still in school for this and I am trying to get all the help I can. Thanks in advance.
