Sheriff's deputies in Cherokee County in Georgia answered an emergency call about a peacock that was running on the New Light Road on Thursday of last week. Since the peacock was in danger of being injured by automobiles that were on the roads, a deputy with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) were able to capture the peacock and the animal to police headquarters until they can find out what to do next with the colorful animal. It could be quite difficult to capture a peacock. They don't normally like to be handled.

@Deepizzaguy If the peacock gets away again I might see him running down the road.

I wonder where it came from. Mike use to have peacocks and chickens before we married. The peacocks wondered around but never got loose from the property.

That is a good question how the peacock got loose in the first place.
