I am Thinking About Starting a YouTube Channel

I want to start a YouTube channel but I hate being on camera so I am dragging my feet about it. It would be about ways to save money/be thrifty. I have about 10 - 15 ideas for the first few videos which would be about saving money on groceries since I used to teach a class about this, and I just taught a class at my church about it in May. I already have the outline made up for the class. I am not that great with technology and have a Chrome book, not a laptop which complicates things. I also am not that great with videotaping! But with the price of everything these days, I feel strongly led to do this. I am just afraid I will be biting off more than I can chew. Would you watch a YouTube channel giving tips about how to save money?

I think it's a great idea. You will be better than you think. Let us know how to find you when you get all set up.

@Kouponkaren We used to be about to add links and you could put it there. Not sure this is even still an option on your profile or not.

@Kouponkaren I guess check with GAA, but I don't see why it would be a problem. You'll figure it out and learn as you go, plus you've already taught the class, so you'll do fine.

@1creekgirl Well, I don't know about that, but thanks for the vote of confidence. :0) I think it will be a real learning curve. I don't know if I can let people know about it here, although it won't be monetized so maybe it will be okay?

@Deepizzaguy I am sure there are already some channels out there about saving money so if you don't want to wait for me to figure out how to post videos you can put saving money in the YouTube search bar and see what comes up!

If it was well thought out, and succinct I absolutely would. If you decide to do it, let us know. I'm positive you would find a way to do it well. Just don't get too frustrated with yourself; I struggle with that too.

I have a channel and have uploaded many videos there but they are most to do with entertainment and a few about our garden and pets. I am sure there will be many who would watch your 'how to save money' videos

I think you would be good at doing a money saving YouTube channel. With the increase in prices these days saving money is definitely something I would be interested in. Don't be camera shy

I'm not sure I would watch - or at least I might watch one or two - but most of the time I prefer to read, watching a video takes time and most often the actual important content can be summed up in a couple of sentences! But I know many people would rather watch than read so you will probably have an audience.

I'm sure you'd be fine and you've already had some experience with sharing the subject. I hope you get to do it soon.
