18 October - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from a beautifully cool day in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's in the 60s. Or it was when I sat down at the computer. It's starting to drop now. It was the warmest day we've had in a couple of weeks.
I'm thankful I'm caught up with the notifications. When I saw how many there were, I didn't think that would happen. It is always fun to see what you're doing in your part of the world.
I'm thankful I didn't forget Missy this morning, though I forgot to feed her this morning. Her daddy said he did when he got here this morning. No problem.
I'm thankful for a chat with my friend down the hall this morning after exercise class. She treated me to pumpkin bread. Now, mind you, I'm not a pumpkin fan, but that bread was good. 
I'm thankful for rock painting today. I needed to make more Smile God Loves You rocks for the ladies in my Bible study. I got them all finished and brought them home - 8 of them. I also did two other rock projects. I'll bring them home next time.
I'm thankful I remembered to call the bookstore that is doing the book signing on November 4 to let him know I'll be there. He called me back a short while ago to tell me there will be 52 authors there for the book signing event. It should be a great day.

I'm thankful it's not snwing here yet, though I'm feeling cold. The sun didn't break through the clouds until 5:30 today.

@just4him It's shining again this morning but I didn't wake up until 8:30, and I'm sure, by the time I'm dressed and had my breakfast, the nasty clouds will have eaten it all up. It's only 9°C/49°F, so I'm not gonna rush out in my nightie.

what a cute pup! glad someone recalled her breakfast. i'm cursin' the chilly morns 'n eves, baskin' otherwise with 70's. tomorrow 'tis to be 87 'n i'm o'er the moon fer such. 'nother front comin', doubt we'll see such warmth 'gain fer a while.
that's awesome so many authors 'll be there. a great turnout fer certain.

@just4him doin' my best, 'tis still quite chilly out'n the shade, the winds bite.
yer correct! i spent o'er'n hour yesterday tryin' to get a pair 'f northern flickers. a battle i lost 's they went high'n the trees. no desire fer my foolishness.

I'll be thankful when I get all the Discussions and Notifications done. I am behind because the Illuminating Company had a planned outage for several hours. We have a standby generator; but that still means that the telephone, TV and internet were out. Have a good day.

I was thankful for the flu shot I got on the 17th, but not thankful for the pain. I couldn't really sleep for the pain and itching. I'm so glad it feels like my arm again now.
