Animal Noises and Omens

This morning my sleep broke up early. Once it breaks I can't go back to sleep any more. I do many things in my mind. I say a short repetitive prayer. I compose a new song. I try to recall what I read last evening. Meanwhile, sounds of the roads float into my ears. A early motorcycle perhaps going to the station. A car passed by our wall. An owl gave some hoots on the nut tree near the gate. This is a bit strange. People may believe it's a bad omen heralding some sad news. For me it's just a natural call to his mate. The muezzin just announced the first call. Our two dogs howled as long as the call lasted on the loudspeaker. People say dog howling is bad too. We are told animals possess a sharp sense of forthcoming disasters i.e. earthquakes. But not all animal sounds can be bad omen. What do you say?

We have the same believe in Italy, an owl hooting is announcing something bad.

I do not think any animal is a bad omen.
