That was Enough

On Saturday my second son and I hit the road to go leaf peeping and spend a bit of time with my second daughter. We drove the three and half hours to the western part of the state and spent the day enjoying the gorgeous weather. The sky was a spectacularly clear blue and the autumn leaves were at peak. There were lots of folks on the Blue Ridge Parkway so after doing a brief section of the parkway we opted to go exploring elsewhere. Normally when I spend that many hours driving (it was probably close to 8 hours behind the wheel by the time I was back home again) I struggle to meet my personal goal of 10,000 steps in a day. I think this past Saturday should count for two days on my fitness app. I am VERY thankful that I can still mostly keep up with my children!

@sophiamorros Leaf peeping? You’re going to have to explain that to me - my imagination is going wild.

It's the local vernacular for going for a drive/trip specifically to view autumn leaves.

@SophiaMorros Ah, not as nefarious as it sounds to an Irish ear.

Good for you, I'm sure it was a really enjoyable outing, even if a bit tiring.

I am in agreement with you that you are able to keep up with your child in the exercise program.
