If the insurance is right

When I ordered my glasses the optician told me what she thinks they will cost. She may be wrong, and if she is not, I know I am spending over $600 on my glasses. I picked the first pair of frames that I felt drawn to, but it was not the only one I tried. I may call and talk to the girl that usually figures everything for me, as I have a couple of questions. I had my eyes dilated and that seemed to make me sleepy when running errands, as well as fuzzy. I do not remember the last time I had my eyes dilated. We picked up a few things at a couple of stores, and went to Hardees for lunch. I had a mushroom and Swiss burger. So far I have not ever been disappointed at this burger place. That is a good feeling. Now I just have to wait for those new glasses.

Yes, they are. There are cheaper places to go but I am not sure they would be done right.

@GardenGerty - Better not to go to a cheaper place, our eyes are very important.

I really enjoy Mushroom Swiss burgers. Eye dilation is no fun. I dislike that feeling of my eye being full of crud.

Yes, the Mushroom Swiss burgers are a really nice. This is the first I remember having my eyes dilated, although they do other tests that sort of determine the same things.

I’m getting old, I know, because I want to say, I remember when glasses were $300, and those were the really nice ones! Once, they dilated my mom’s eyes, and they just wouldn’t go back to normal. She had to go back, and they fixed it.

I have heard that there are drops that will undo the dilation.

I think I paid $250 for the last pair of glasses I bought and that was without insurance. I've had my eyes dilated several times over the last two years... It didn't affect me or my driving. I hope you like them.

I have a complicated prescription. I hope I like the frames as well. I was drawn to the frames when I went in to look around.

@GardenGerty Two years ago the doctor suggested I get bifocals but I'm just not ready for them... I don't need glasses to read, just for driving. He kept trying to tell me I'd get used to them... but I don't need them. He wasn't happy that I kept saying I didn't need bifocals.

My daughter got new glasses recently and I was shocked at the price. I know glasses are expensive but I guess the prices have skyrocketed.

Do you have a Costco in your area? I usually get my glasses at their optical department and they end up running around $250 per pair, even with fancy designer frames and anti-glare coating on the lenses. We don't have Hardee's, but we have Carl's Jr... I'll have to see if they have the mushroom Swiss burger right now.

I hope you find a good sandwich. My prescription is a little tricky so I always have it done at the optometrist. I am not near a Costco, but that is pretty much what my sister paid at Wal Mart.
