Today Was The Funeral...

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully well. Today was the funeral service for my grandparents. We started driving down around 11, so we could spend some time with my cousins before the service. Then we went over to the cemetery around 1:30. It was pretty cold, but not bad enough to have it indoors. The service was pretty short, but it was nice. They played one song (Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain) and played a poem (When Tomorrow Starts Without Me). Not too many shared stories about my grandparents, but maybe that is because it was a graveside service. Or maybe everyone was just too shy.... After we went to a small get together at the American Legion Hall (or VFW hall) and there were desserts and refreshments. So guess things went as smoothly as they could today. Image is mine - photo of a rose I took. Added it here because it seemed fitting. And on the casket there was a floral display and roses were included in that.
