For you who’ve never heard the Violent Femmes, I’ll try to describe them. A folk/acoustic punk trio with gospel songs. NOT kidding. Front man Gordon Gano gave us this song (about Noah and the Flood) and a song about killing a daughter by shoving her down a well on the same album.
Music’s great that way, isn’t it?!
If you look at my “general” tastes in music (old country, rock and roll), this is probably one of the “weirdest” groups musically I like. I know. But I do.

I love their gospel songs, especially contrasting them with “Blister in the Sun” or “Add It Up.”
