Yes, this is a real historical helmet worn by King Henry VIII. It looks something worn by an evil villain in a steampunk film. This contraption was part of the armor made by Konrad Seusenhofer, and it appeared to be modeled after the king's jesters. In fact, King Henry must have worn this as a joke since it was too awkward for battle or tournaments.
