Back from work...here I am..

Good afternoon from this side of the planet.. I came back from work at 1 and took a 45 minutes nap. It's sunny and bright day here and I felt a little warm while walking back from the work. Generally, November would be cooler, but then weather everywhere is strange and nothing goes on predictable lines. It's been a week since I have been to online space ( few minutes in a day). But I enjoyed the family time and had a good festival celebration. My elder daughter was here too and we spent some good time too. She was supposed to go back on Tuesday, but then her next module in the session came out to be an online one from a guest lecturer. She could not make it to the campus as she is in Singapore and couldn't travel due to some health issues. Luckily, we had taken a flexible flight ticket for her return and we postponed it to Sunday early morning. She attended her online classes and could enjoy home made meals for few more days . Now she will be back in mid December for her semester break for two weeks It was heartbreaking and a big setback for Indian cricket team yesterday to loose the World Cup final. Australia won the title for the sixth time and that's truly incredible! India was the best team in the tournament. But then, the final game was won by the team that played well on the final day. And that was undoubtedly Australia . It would be wait for another four years for other teams. That's all for the blabbering from this side. It's past 2 PM and I am not feeling any appetite for lunch. I will wait till I really feel hungry. Have a good time and a great week. Hope all well in your myLot corner

Good to see you writing here again. I can understand your offline life kept you away. Disappointed that India lost after having won every single tournament Better luck next time but I wonder if Virat Kohli will be there

@arunima25 I wonder why Modi handed over the trophy. Is he the head of any sports body?

It's a sport and the performance on the day decides it. Many said that it was not the best team that finally won the title. But then one has to accept with all the grace and sportsmanship that Aussies dominated on the final day. It was just a bad day for a very good team. I have a gut feeling that Virat would be there seeing his fitness and form. I have doubts about Rohit Sharma though. If he doesn't work hard on his fitness, he might not be there. No doubt he was a cool headed captain throughout and did really well as an opener. Always gave a good kickstart to the game.

@allknowing Nothing political about it. It's just that he is a well known global leader and PM of the host country. Even in other countries we have seen political leaders handing over trophies or watching matches to support their team in such important matches. Clinton was always spotted. Recently French PM was at FIFA final supporting France. He was almost at verge of crying when France lost like any regular fan would. In India, everything becomes a political news. We have always seen top political leaders being part of such events when they belong to a host country. There is nothing political. He represents the host country.

Well, that's a part of game and it's unpredictable like life. India won dominantly all the matches in the tournament and then lost in finals. Anyways, Australia was the deserving team on the final day. My daughter is doing good. The guest lecturer has some illness and couldn't travel from Singapore to India.

I actually watched the match and, while I was pleased that Australia won, I did feel for the Indian team and its supporters. Such a huge stadium full of people hoping for a win but it wasn't to be.

Yes, it was heartbreaking. Guess it was not the day for India and it's supporters. They did very well throughout the tournament, but yesterday it was one sided match. Australia did really well
