Breakfast buffet

What you see in the photo is the kind of buffet we get to see when we are on package holidays. Every hotel we have stayed there is a great variety put before us but the sad part is we can eat just so much and no more. We cannot even have doggy bags to pack what we like to eat later. Making a choice itself is so confusing in that one settles down to just a three or four-course breakfast. All that I can say is we are being bullied into having to make a choice and land up with as I have said just a three or four course breakfast. Have you been to any such package holidays? It has been awhile since I have been to a hotel. Usually, we stay in a timeshare condo we rented for awhile. The buffets I go to are usually restaurant buffets, and boy do I love them. A good hotel buffet is certainly tasty though, for sure!

That buffet would leave me sleepy from eating too much food. If this is the way cruises serve up food, I would not want to go on one.

To what extent one can eat is left to the individual. Not wanting to go on a cruise just because there will be food laid out to my mind is not a reason to avoid going on a cruise

@allknowing Perhaps. I also wonder how warm that food is and how safe to eat. Yes, I am picky.

Well I hadn't been on the package holidays as such, but I have been and worked on plenty of hotel buffets full to the gills with every savory and sweet delight and everything in between.

You can certainly be spoilt for choice on these tours. Once you've had breakfast you're usually good for quite a few hours before needing to eat again.

So true But one can eat just that much that one needs to fill up and looking at all those choices it is not a happy feeling though (lol)

No package holidays, but over the years l have been to countless hotels and other social events where lavish buffets are the norm. Eat your fill

If one has a good appetite such buffets are worth going for. But I am a nibbler sadly (lol)

Wow! That is huge. We've been on a few package tours, Mauritius was the last where we had a huge spread though. Mostly it is just continental or full English. The other cuisines do not feature. And I get so confused when it is so huge, I just end up with fruit, eggs, bread and coffee
