Landlords from Hell

Some people... I've had a few of these over the years. Once the electrical cables to the complex I was renting in got stolen and the landlord did not want to replace it, even though he had insurance. Said the insurance would ruin his no-claim bonus. He finally relented after a 36 days. That time I did not really have a clue as to how live without a fridge or lights for long periods and it was very expensive to keep things cool as it was summer. Lucky I got to move on a few months later. Our current landlady is a true blessing and we are always glad to pay our rent. Hope your landlord doesn't treat you badly

My landlady doesn't treat us badly, but other tenants have had issues with her. Maybe she likes us, idk. One friend of ours claimed she's crazy, though I don't know the full details of why she thinks that.

I think you can't be good to all the people. Even Jesus Christ who came and served all without discrimination had some enemies that managed to crucify him on the cross.

I'm relieved that my renting days are over. I've never had the experience, although I've had a lot of awful neighbors. I'm glad you moved.

We travel a lot, so short-term is worth it to rent for us. But it is sometimes difficult to know up front what you are dealing with. I don't even want to talk about neighbours, that is whole other level of weird

There is no 'landlord' as such here where I live..it is a massive conglomerate. It teaches you that Satan walks the earth. Think Soylent Green.

Oh I get that one, my eldest sister lives in that sort of alternate reality as well. I've had the rare pleasure of living there for 6 weeks recently, ugh. I only ever once had the "pleasure" of that sort of thing and we did not see eye to eye.

I had a very nice landlady in my previous house that l had rented. She was quick in responding to damages very responsible in doing the maintenance for the house.

We tend to get them 50/50 - easy on some things and a pain on some other.
