Hello, December 2023.

It’s officially December 1st. I’m hoping it’s a better month than November. While I was able to get VIP for NKOTB last month, losing my dog and nearly losing my Aunt outweighs that, so I can’t really say it was a great month. But, maybe December will be a better one. I certainly have a few plans lined up, and hopefully, they don’t fall through. Dec. 2nd - Tomorrow is the Christmas Parade at the mall, and I’m hoping we still go. We haven’t gone in years because it just kept falling through. It’s going to be in the 60s tomorrow and I have a new Christmas shirt (as pictured, once it allows me to upload it), and I really want to go lol. Later, we’re going to the baby shower of my best friend’s older sister, so it’ll be a busy day! Dec. 3rd - The annual Pagoda Lighting by my house. My best friend, her son, and I -and whoever else wants to join us- have been going for a few years, so hopefully, we’re still going on Sunday. Dec. 16th - I’m part of a Secret Santa, but it’s a Book and Drink Swap – and it’s exactly what it sounds like. We’re exchanging books and drinks off our wishlists (and no, it doesn’t have to be alcoholic). Dec. 17th - My best friend and I wanted to go to York, PA to do a little Christmas shopping that weekend, so this would be the only day to do it. It’s not set in stone though. I’ll talk to her after the baby shower. Dec. 18th - My best friend’s birthday. The two of us and my younger sister (also her best friend) are going out to dinner. Dec. 24th - Christmas Eve. Sometimes, I think I like Christmas Eve best. I love the anticipation and getting ready for the big day. Dec. 25th - Christmas. The usual will probably be over (younger sister and brother-in-law; best friend and her son). It’s always nice to gather with everyone. :) Dec. 31st - New Year’s Eve. It’s usually laid back at my house and that’s fine. And that’s what I have to look forward to in December, aside from outings to Christmas shop and any last-minute events that may come up. I hope December is good for all of us this year! Welp, back to work I go. I’m not sure how much I’ll be posting next week because I need to catch up on notifications and interactions again. Stay safe, take care, and have a great weekend, everyone! Photo Credit: Me. It’s my “Shrek” (movie) Christmas shirt lol.

We spend more time preparing for Christmas Eve as well. Christmas day has always been a day to just relax and recover from the previous night's feast. I hope everything goes smoothly for you this month. Happy Holidays!

Sounds like you already have a lot of plans lined up. Definitely make sure to take time to relax. That’s nice that New Year’s Eve is laid back. It has been here as well the past few years.
