"what are you going to get me"

I am currently on the crunch of doing gifts for a lot of my friends. I would have started a lot sooner, but with all the computer issues and all that, I couldn't. I am very excited for all the gifts I am going to be doing this year, it is all just drawings and such, mostly chibis, because they are quick and I think they are really cute. But yeah, so that is what I am doing. One of my friends asked me what I am up to and I said, "working on Christmas gifts" to which he replied, "what are you getting me?" I know that is all in good fun, but oof with this one particular person... I just can't mostly because I had given this person a birthday gift, a hella cute chibi drawing that everyone loved and he just replied with, "thanks" like...okay, dang. If you didn't like it, that is fine, I am still allowed to feel hurt though. So, you can kinda see why I am just like...you didn't like your birthday gift, why would you like a Christmas gift? I wish I could give people more, but the most I can do is draw. I know that isn't the most exciting thing to get, but it is what I can do. I know most of the time the question of, "what are you getting me?" is a joke, but it just rubbed me the wrong way when it comes to this one particular person. It is no wonder they didn't even make the list of who I am all going to do a gift for...sooo hmm
