White Christmas

Chile

Hello again! I would like you to tell me what a white Christmas is like. What does it feel like to enjoy these holidays with snow. I have never experienced a white Christmas, as you know in this part of the world it is summer. So I only know of warm Christmases,

It depends. If you're a child, it's great fun. You can go tobogganing, build snowmen and/or have snowball fights. If you're a sportive adult, you can go skiing, either long distance through forests where the trees look beautiful when they're full of snow and the sun is shining. When you're old, things can become different. You can fall and break a bone. This happened to me some years ago. I slipped on a pavement where a patch of ice was covered with a thin layer of snow so that I didn't notice it. I broke my left arm. Even though I'm right-handed, it was very inconvenient. Try sleeping with one arm in plaster from the wrist to the elbow! Then there is dressing and undressing, eating with knife and fork, etc.

@Yoshi1810 Thanks for asking. Yes, I did recover well, but I was very glad when the plaster was removed!

And did you recover well? It must really be very uncomfortable to get dressed in a time that requires wearing a lot of clothes. And here is the time for shorts.

Yes it is the most wonderful feeling to look out and see snow falling on Christmas Day. But with the changing climate, here we will not have any more. It is sad.

I would love to see how beautiful it is. Climate change worries and depresses.

@Yoshi1810 You hope it ruins the Christmas spirit? Why break my heart like that?

True, California is a warmer place. With beautiful beaches. I hope not having snow ruins the Christmas spirit. Greetings.

I do NOT want a white Christmas! Snow is very pretty in pictures, but in real life it's hard to walk in and slippery. So, no, thank you!
