26 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a beautifully cool Green Bay, Wisconsin. My computer temp is 39 F. That's what it's supposed to be tonight. I have so much to be thankful for. I'm thankful I got up at 4 AM. No nap today, no time. I'm thankful for the chiropractor. She did the adjustment and gave me stem therapy. Ice is very cold when you put it directly on the skin. I will say it's helping my rib. I'm thankful for the work I did on Love's Illusion. I've mentioned it before. It's my problem child romance I've been working on for over 20 years and trying to finish. I'm trying to decide which book I'm going to work on as book 2 in the Wilderness series. I'm thinking it will be Wilderness Cry. That one seems to be the urgent one at the end of Wilderness Challenge. We'll see how it goes. It will be either or both Wilderness Call and Wilderness Cry that I work on this next year. I'm thankful for Christmas dinner. My son's girlfriend picked me up shortly after four. There was a houseful and lots of food. Besides the sides I brought there was prime rib, ribs, mac and cheese, potato salad, and a pastry dessert. No one had dessert. There was plenty of everything else, oh and deviled eggs. I met a few people and talked to one most of the time I was there. I took gifts which they liked even though my son told me no gift exchange. It was all so good. The best gift of all was spending time with my son and his girlfriend. I found out why they didn't have it yesterday. My son's gift to his girlfriend was a quiet day without people. I'm thankful for the phone call I got from my pastor. He told me someone at church heard I need a car and is interested in selling it to me. I talked to my son. On Sunday I will talk to the person selling the car to determine how we will proceed. It looks like I have a new car in my future. God is so GOOD! Okay, that's my day. I'm going to close out this night on the foot cycle to get the remainder of my steps and help burn more calories than I would by walking. I still have over 2K to reach my daily goal.
