I went to bed at 9 PM last night. It wasn't that loud here. Just a few firecrackers here and there, and then a whole bunch at Midnight. Nothing close enough to scare Kitty. It appears no Doomsday Device went off either. I am still here, so far as I can tell. I see hazy sunshine and wet pavement. Just another day. I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Photo is of the Ruby Mountains in Nevada In May. From a 2019 road trip. .

I'm at Juanita's in Hamilton. We got some wet snow but just enough to make things look pretty. I heard a few fireworks going off at 12 and then fell asleep.

Did you say Juanita? Tell more more about Juanita! Now you've given me an ear worm. But it's one I like. @FourWalls may (or may not) agree with me that this is one of the best live rock albums in history. And this (along with Dixie Chicken) is one of the funniest rock songs in history. Had you heard it?

@AmbiePam That is true. I don;t want Early Childhood Educator be a job for "people who need to work and can't do anything else. " It's disrespectful to our next generation.

We were tired and we went to sleep. No fireworks or loud noises, it was a very quiet end of the year. The most quiet I can remember since we live here.

@TheHorse It is forbidden from several years here in Switzerland. We are so close to the Italian border that we hear those they shoot in Como, but this year I only heard very few and less loud.
