The banks want to take away your political rights? Can you make sense of this? Do you know people who would still consider voting for Donald Trump?

Donald Trump is spiraling down the toilet bowl cognitively. In fairness to him, though, his father did not totally lose it until he was in his 80s, according to my (not too extensive) research. But Trump is giving speeches that make no sense. He is cutting himself off in mid-sentence and then saying things that are absurd. He may have recently confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, though that could be AI-generated garbage, I admit. I understand that my bank wants to make money off of me. They pay me 5.5 percent for my no-risk investments, and make more than that with my money. I am OK with that. Because I have a bit of "wealth" (and am a valued customer ), they waive my check cancellation fees when my checks are stolen from my mailbox. But what the heck is Trump saying when he claims they want to "de-bank" us? If you can explain it to me, please do. We live in odd times. Sorry. Meant to attach a link. I'll go with this one for now.

Huh? What is de-banking? Surprising that there are so many out there that will vote for him. You're getting 5.5%? That's terrific. Have a good day.

Interest rates may drop in the next year. If they do, CD rates will drop as well.

I read this for information only for I live in the Philippines. If I were an American, I won't vote for Trump after I read some legal actions and accusations about him.

He is a pathetic man. But he was born into money, and that gave him power. I hope Jesus can "reach him" in prison.

Maybe he thinks his supporters are truck drivers or British politicians? Or maybe things are not going so well in business ethics? In fairness though, reputational risk has never stopped banks from doing business with SAP, PriceWaterhouse, KPMG and other unsavoury types. Or maybe he wants you to wash your nose, who knows?

He began talking about Nikki Haley not knowing foreign leaders even though she was his UN ambassador and suddenly segue'ed into her refusing 10K troops on Jan 6 - troops he never ordered, but troops he'd asked for prior to that event but was turned down because military cannot be used to police the citizenry during a peaceful event (which it was supposed to be). Additionally, Nikki didn't ask for help on Jan 6. Nancy Pelosi did. But, I don't think it was an AI thing. As for debanking - I think he's railing about what has happened to him. His banks are kicking him to the curb because he has been shown to be a much higher risk than they'd thought. So, he's now projecting that to his supporters that they'll find political reasons to dump them, too.

@TheHorse No - he's already convinced them that didn't happen. He's trying to convince them that they will be targeted for being his supporters and screw them out of banking services. It's the narrative he's pitching. Not reality.

Ah, interesting! He's trying to suggest that "all of us" will exaggerate our assets to get big bank loans that we can't pay back?

Do you know politicians who do not give speeches that make no sense= Their motto is "if you cannot convince the crows, confuse them!" He confused Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi, Biden confused Afghanistan and Pakistan. Those old guys should retire.

@TheHorse I have to search for the link, it was in a video in an online newspaper. It's not the only time he "confused" names, he also called Zelensky "Vladimir", that is the name of Putin. He looks like an embalmed humans, or like a Madame Tussaud wax statue if you prefer. There is a full section on Youtube "Joe Biden Speech" makes no sense and I have heard really weird things said my him.

Do you have a link to Biden confusing Pakistan with Afghanistan? How many times did he repeat it? I have to give it to Joe, though. He looks kind of like a cardboard cut out. But his speeches make sense.

I have no idea what Trump is talking about. I don't even think he knows what he is talking about. He just gets in front of a mic or an audience and just starts rambling. Who knows, maybe he is nervous speaking in front of large crowds! lol I'm not a fan of Trump by any means, but it is going to be interesting during the election, when record numbers of Americans vote for him (at least as the polsters are projecting). Which is going to be worse for America....bumbling and senile Joe, or Hitler-istic Trump?

This de - bank is related to a right wing politician in the UK called Nigel Farage, who had his account closed for his views and politics but turns out the bank had been done for laundering money for the Colombian mob, amongst others...
