Exercising as a couple may not be as effective as exercising alone

Experts have come to the conclusion that it is better to exercise alone than exercise as a couple to get all the benefits. Exercising as a couple may slow you down and you wouldn't exert much energy as you would if you exercise alone, hence the need to take personal approach.

The other side of this is that you might do more physical activity if it is also social so having another person there makes it more enjoyable. I think where the problems are is when there is a complete mismatch in physical ability, if you partner runs marathons and you only want a gentle jog around the park it's a good idea to do that seperately.

I get you, couples should have a match of energy to achieve success.

I'm glad to know that but I think it is motivating to exercise with a partner.

Yes I can imagine that you need to exercise with others with similar abilities/strengths/capacity to you. As a male/female couple there is always going to be differences.

that I can agree with, cause together the other person may not like how you do your stuff & try to slow you down.

i agree that exercising as a couple surely will slow down. One might remain unable to focus on the workout.

Haha true that, unless the both like the same level of exercise. That'll be cool.
