23 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, where the fog is rolling in because of the warmer temps and the snow pack.
It has been a wonderful day. I am ecstatic over the events of today.
I'm thankful I was ready to leave for this morning right on time. My friend was also ready when I knocked on her door. Bible study was wonderful!
I'm thankful that when I got up this morning, I found the title for the car and filled out the online form to donate the car. I didn't even hesitate. I clicked that button and felt like the world belonged to me again. I got a phone call from the organization during Bible study. I missed a number or letter in the VIN number so took a picture of it and sent it to them when I got home. Shortly after, I got a call from the person who will pick up the car next Tuesday morning. I don't need to be here. I am so happy, I'm giddy with laughter.
I'm thankful I remembered to call the insurance and let them know I'm getting rid of the car. So, I'm off the insurance as of today. I still have Renter's Insurance with them.
I'm thankful for lunch with the Bible study ladies today. It was a wonderful lunch and I stuck to my diet plan. I had a stuff baked potato with cheese, broccoli, bacon bits, and sour cream.
I'm thankful I have all my steps. I walked the hallways when I got home. I also met a new couple that just moved in today. They're so nice. I told them a little bit about the activities here and showed her where the laundry room is as they might need it until they can get their washer and dryer here. They have one of the larger corner apartments with a fireplace.
I'm thankful I talked to one of the women I play Canasta with. She also goes to the pool, something I want to get back to as soon as possible. She got me the schedule for the lap pool today. I can go with her on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. While she's in the exercise pool, the lap pool is open for open/lap swim. It will be so good to get back there when I can fit into my suit again.

Well, I'm glad you were able to get rid of your car. I hope you won't have trouble getting around without one. It can be a pain relying on others'. I'm thankful today's vet visit went well, and Chilly is recovering nicely. They had to knock him out, but it wasn't one of those 'come back later' deals. He's on the couch with George now.

@just4him Me, too. We made the appointment six months ago, and while I was able to reschedule I didn't want to out right cancel. I'm glad I didn't have to, and using Uber Pet wasn't as bad as I'd worried it might be.

My day was okay yesterday. My oldest daughter came over last night and we had a nice visit.

Glad that you feel so good about getting rid of the car.
I am thankful that most of the white stuff is gone here. By this time tomorrow it should be.
Thankful for my happy light. I forgot to turn it on this morning. When I started feeling blah I turned it on and it helped. Hope I remember in the morning.
Thankful I got the fence fixed. Patch has stayed in

Sounds like a full day with lots of good...that's always nice to hear. It's nice when things work out like that. That's good you'll be able to go to the pool again

I’m thankful to read your very positive post. 
I’m also thankful I had a positive report from my rheumatologist, and that I was able to pick up five of my prescriptions without waiting more than 10 minutes in a very long line.
*Will the organization fix up your car for someone else, use the parts for different cars…?

Thank you. I'm glad you like my positive post. They fix them and resell them. That much I gleaned from the FAQs on their site.
I'm glad you had a good report from your rheumatologist. Not waiting a long time for prescriptions is a blessing.

I'm glad the bible study went well. I'm happy for you that you finally donated the car and are off the insurance.
I'm thankful my mom is feeling well today. She had headache yesterday.
