How to cope if I leave my job?

I'm the main wage earner here, and we are trying to get the credit card and mortgage paid off early so that I can give up the main dayjob in a couple of years to concentrate on my small business and also to try to live a more frugal, eco-friendly life (growing our own food, not using teh car much etc). Ultimately we won't need that much money once the mortgage and credit cards are paid, but projections show I need to stay in work for another two years. Here's the rub, I'm going crazy there, I really want to get out now and try to build my own business up, but I'm terrified of losing the house if we can't make the payments on it. Has anyone else faced this? What did you do, how did you stay calm through those last few months? Any advice would be good.

I think it's better that you go on business, something that you want to do or go freelance that you can maximize your time and earn more than having a regular job. Hope this helps a bit! God bless!
