Purpose. Finding God's purpose for your life

Never be just one sided in your purpose

God has a purpose for every soul, and once we understand our own particular purpose, all that is needed for us to fulfil it, will either come to us, or out of us. In addition, all of the stuff already in us, will become aligned to, and support that purpose of ours too. Purpose lives within the love in your heart, and when that love is activated by your connecting your life, and soul, to God, purpose comes out from love, and you start to live it for God, for yourself, and for the good of the world too. A servant of God lives from God's purpose in them being fulfilled. Our soul is fashioned with certain gifts and tendencies to act in certain ways, as God wants each soul to have its own functionative purpose too, but then to develop itself from its base position as well, and so gain a heart of love, developed through refining its mind culturally, socially, and personally, so that our mind services both love, and God, then, and then our soul loves God as itself, and serves him through all of itself then too, including its bodies, or outer coverings of mind, ego, personality, heart, and emotional strengths too. Let God's purpose for you be your own purpose for you too. Do not work at cross purposes with God's purpose for you, and for your life If you do not like the life you are living, move yourself more to doing God's purpose for your life. We find God's purpose for our life, by moving ourselves closer to God in our life. We grow our wisdom through careful study of scripture, and from sincere praying to God. James, chapter 1, verse 5, from the Christian Bible says: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." When you obtain some wisdom, your purpose will become more obvious to you then too. I think my purpose is to be an intercessor.

That is good, like a peacemaker, calming volatile situations down. You help others by interceding, and asking God to help them, and their situation.

@mildredtabitha I like to keep the peace too, and I try to act as someone that never inflames anyone. I try to cool things down, before they escalate. I also like to try to spread God's message of love, and peace, to others too.

I am fairly old now, and I am not sure if I ever really lived God's purpose for my life, or not. I have mostly just bumbled along in life, taking what was available for me to do at the time, as a job, or as a pastime.

From the moment you're born, God gives you His purpose and instills in you those things that will define God's purpose when you commit yourself to Him. For me, it's writing. I started writing at the age of eight. When I accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, He defined my purpose as I glorify Him in everything I write.

A lifetime of writing. You certainly started writing early on in your life. When I was young, I never liked to write. I only started writing much later in my life. It is a good purpose to glorify God through, and in, your writing.

You're right, when we spend time in His word and in prayer, He'll reveal Himself to us and what He wants us to accomplish for His glory and honor. Thank you for this post.

Yes, our true purpose in life, always must come to us from God. We cannot have a real purpose without God in our lives. Prayer and study take us closer to God, and so then, yes, he will reveal himself, and his purpose for us, to us, then too.

Rightly said. Praying to God gives us calmness and in that calmness we can focus thereby thinking clearly for our purpose in life

Yes, I agree. Prayer certainly brings us peace, and calmness, in our life, which helps us to then move in the right direction too.

The state of our world is a clear indication all that glitters carry us away. There needs to be an epochal event to turn things around to make us refocus on love, and compassion, mostly hidden inside us. We fail to utilize the most precious of our talents. Our potential has been stifled so far. Even beseeching God is for personal selfish purposes like material gains or when everything is lost due to our reckless ways. It is taken as a norm when countries wear nuclear weapons as a badge of honor.

God has a purpose for his creation too, which we all ignore at our own peril. We cannot force the world to go in our way, forever, as it will bounce back again to God's plan for it somehow, and we will likely suffer in this rebound. Many things can become useless badges of honour, even how many billionaires a country has can be paraded before other countries too, in a gloating way.

@Shiva49 No, creation will flex its muscles, and we will be left in the wake of this one day, soon.

@innertalks Yes, we are playing with fire, tempting fate, all along, testing the patience of our creator thinking we are special. That pride can soon fall flat when enough is enough will come to the fore. Creation cannot be subservient to our whims and fancies.
