And That Makes Three

Well, that's three Walmart stores in three days. One here local, one a few towns away in Waterloo, and another a few towns away in Edwardsville. They don't have my unsalted Great Value chicken or beef broth. Not that I made a special trip. We decided to hit my old stomping grounds in Holiday Shores near Edwardsville (although it is still considered Edwardsville). The wifey wanted to go to Goodwill there. And we had to take back the tablet cover that did not work. Technically the Walmart in Edwardsville is in Glenn Carbon, but that's sort of like where I used to live in West Allis, Wisconsin. It's basically Milwaukee. Glenn Carbon is basically Edwardsville. Not that any of that matters or means a thing to you. I just thought I would add in that extra information for good measure. It was a fun day, though. So at least THAT was accomplished. For dinner last night I had some leftover braised pork and so I just made ANOTHER stir-fry out of it. I added in some broccoli, onions and green pepper and some teriyaki sauce. It filled the bill. And luckily required no broth in the recipe.

I love that you added broccoli to this dish. I know a lot of people dislike it but I love it. This looks yummy. I hope you enjoy your meal.

Broccoli and its crispness in a dish like this can really MAKE a dish like this. I just love it. Most of the time when you buy fried rice, you don't get broccoli. But when I make a stir-fry, I love to add it.

@porwest The Same goes for me. I always add broccoli to my stir-fried rice. I also like it crispy.

@BabeSays My wife likes it a little mushier. So I compromise a bit and meet her half way. lol

Kudos for the broccoli. I love it. I sometimes make an omelet with it. I take blanched broccoli, saute in the skillet a little bit with some onion and then pour a beaten egg over it and let it cook. Yum!

When Walmart is out of something, they are out! Your stir fry sounds good, always minus onions of course. Have a good day.
