Thank you for Praying

February 10, 2024 6:33am CST
Mom's going through some medical tests. I pray that they’ll all be quick , get the copies of all the results, and decide to address healthy measures for recovery and healing at home. Before this flu she had caught from her househelp and nurse, she was fine, chatty and alert. Today, Mom was chatting and joking with her attending physician. So, that’s a good sign. But tonight, it’s another different story. She will be alone in the ward. No family member holding her hand, making sure her face cool, and is comfortable. Thanks for your time. How are you today? Are you okay?

@mildredtabitha Hi! In the photos my sister sends, Mom's face is always facing up, eyes closed. I think she's praying. I read from a book that God's presence is right up above an ill person's head, looking down in compassion and grace.

@RebeccasFarm ...turning 62 in 2 weeks. Trying to fight against all odds that are pressing down my faith and 'sweetness' ... At the moment I feel friendless... from church people, from family ( they think they know what's "better" for me), from friends my children grew up together with their children. Meanwhile, Almighty God has a mighty plan for me and world around me... Thank you for asking, Ocean.

@AmbiePam These are one of our trying times. We have to be encouraging our mother letting her know that everything is going to be alright. I have to acknowledge my sisters, as well, for their uncomplaining care of our mom.

@1creekgirl Oh, Vicki!!! I’m so encouraged and blessed by what you said. All day, we’ve been messaging with family. All the while missing the whole point— praying instead and not worrying. Thank you!

@everwonderwhy I can understand that. I know how that goes. Once, she comes home that will set your mind to ease.
