Trump would let Russia invade NATO countries

He thinks that they have to pay someone when that isn't the case. They are required to devote a specific percentage of their budgets to defense. The idiot presented Angela Merkel with an invoice and she literally laughed in his face. No NATO countries pay the US for anything. Former advisors to Trump said that he would have removed the US from the NATO alliance in a second term. This is important because Russia is currently attacking Ukraine who is *not* a NATO member. If they win, however, they will continue to invade to the west which will mean NATO countries. The US would then have to get involved militarily under Section 5 of the NATO treaty. FUNFACT: Do you know the only time that Section 5 has been invoked? Um after 9/11 in defense of the US. Last night Trump said that anyone in NATO who "doesn't pay" would be subject to Russian attacks that he would welcome. He is such an idiot. It is incredible that Americans are still considering him for a second term as president. He will cause World War 3.

I don't like Trump but do understand, to a point, where he comes from on some specific issues. I think he may feel that the US takes the greatest financial burden of being part of NATO...and he'd be right. He may feel that European countries, including the UK, think that the US will always be there to back them up...and I think he may be right. I genuinely don't think Trump would cause WW3 as he doesn't seem to have any territorial ambitions so won't send the US military invading other countries without cause. I think he may well have some issues with the aid sent to Ukraine so that'd possibly turn the war to a Russian victory.

Probably best if you could alter your 2 term law and get Obama back I didn't like his politics in certain areas but still find myself watching his speeches, in various places, on at least a weekly basis. He's what I'd call a true statesman...you may not agree with him but, I'd suggest, you'd have to respect how he comes across to people, his really well thought words and his general likeability...that being said he's tough when he thinks necessary as drone strike stats under his leadership jumped a whole lot...he's just way more politically savvy than his opposition.

No. He would not. I am sure of it. Although he DID say it. And you may be surprised to know I do not like that he said it. I agree NATO countries should pay their bills and make full contributions as they have obligated to if they want the benefits of protection through their allies. Something Trump has been strongly in favor of, reminding the American people that it's American taxpayer money that LARGELY funds NATO and if we expect to send our young men and women to battle for someone, it can't be on our dime and putting our lives in jeopardy. But we can agree his statement is a potentially dangerous one to make. The question is, if you think Trump only tells lies, what makes you believe his saying THIS is him telling the truth?

Trump has basically given Putin a green light to attack Western Europe. However, considering the attrition Ukraine had inflicted on the Russian military, Putin probably won't make it as far as Poland if he sticks to conventional forces.

Keep hearing and reading about him. He surely knows how to make headlines for all wrong reasons. It's surprising that there is a promising chance for him to be back in White House. He surely has a huge fan following.
