Your Inner priest. Your inner beast

Be priestly, rather than beastly

Within our makeup, we should set apart a part of ourselves to serve as an inner priest to God. This inner priest will then remind us to always act in the service of God, at all times in our lives. This inner priest takes on some of our personality, to be itself, and it will take its directions from our soul too. This is what God told us in Exodus, chapter 19, verse 6, when he said this to the Israelites. "You will be for me a kingdom of priests." We should all serve as priests in our life to help bring others to God, then. We are to guide and lead them, instructively from our inner priest, while loving them from our heart, at the same time. This ensures that our inner fire remains enthusiastically alive in our life, as we dedicate it to serving God, and bringing others to God. We should cultivate this inner priest and bring it to life within ourselves, rather than live from our inner beast instead. An inner beast if left out of control, will rule our mind, and our lives. "The will is a beast of burden. If God mounts it, it wishes and goes as God wills; if Satan mounts it, it wishes and goes as Satan wills; Nor can it choose its rider... the riders contend for its possession." Martin Luther, (1483 to 1546) a German priest, and theologian, said this. Develop your inner priest, and let God control your inner beast for you. I agree. We need to control our inner beast by allowing God's will in our lives. When we do, we will always be priests to God.

Yes, when we baulk against God, and his way of living life here, we are falling as priests, and being destructive to God, and his plan for our life then too.

Yes, only God can tame the beast that is in us all, and help us to stop sinning too.

We are free to choose our path but it behooves us to make a wise choice. There are temptations aplenty along our way to falter but we need a steadfast mind that taps into our inner connection to our creator. In a way we choose our destiny then and that is fair dinkum.

Yes, choice is a big part of life, but we need to be wise, and circumspect in our choosing. We need to steer correctly with the help of our oarsman, our soul, our heart, and a steadfast mind, while allowing God to have his hand at our rudder at times too.

@Shiva49 Yes, to try to go it alone, when the coach is waiting to coach us in the coaching box, is a sort of arrogance, that only holds us up in our living, and learning.

@innertalks Keeping God in mind all the time is not only comforting but also ensures peace of mind through the medium of a safety net that never fails. Why then spurn what is there for the taking?
