I went shopping with my neighbor yesterday....

My neighbor and friend stopped by yesterday to see if I would like to go shopping with her. Shoot, my mother didn't raise no fool, I said "YES" and off we went. We always have fun when we go shopping together. As I say, "IF you can't have fun doing it, don't bother doing it". We went to a thrift shop and a couple of other stores, then went to a grocery store. They have a cute checker, and by then my pain pill had kicked in, and I was feeling good!!! We needed to get money orders, and he waited on both of us, and the lady at the customer service desk apologized for our having to wait. I promptly said that she didn't need to apologize because we got the CUTE checker. Of course, the gentleman started to turn red. The lady started to giggle, and I went on to say not only was he cute, but he had a nice butt. My friend was laughing out loud by then. We finished at the customer service desk and as we were leaving I heard the lady say to the gentleman cashier "I'm going back to the register, cutie." And I heard him laugh too. Well, my friend and I did our grocery shopping and got into line and somehow we managed to get into the customer service gentleman's line. My friend looked at the man and stated that we had to search and wait just to get into his line. The poor man started to turn pink. Then I interjected that he was always so cute when we came in the store, and he was really cute on that Tuesday. He was turning a wonderful shade of scarlet!!! He had checked me out first, and I was presented with a survey on the computer screen that I was paying for my groceries on. There was one question, "What can we do to improve our service for you?" My friend looked at me and said "You're not going to..." it was too late, I already stated that they needed to hire more cute checkers like the one I had. My friend figured I was finished, but then I asked the gentleman what he was doing that night. He looked at me, a brilliant shade of red, and said "Nothing, why?" And I replied that I was thinking about taking him home with me. About that time the store manager walked up, and seeing the checker so red, asked if there was any problem. My friend asked if they had any rule on the books for when a checker was about to be taken home by a customer. The manager, who knew me, laughed and said that there was no precedent and no rule, so I was more than welcome to take the man home... and we all had a good laugh. The manager looked at me and asked "You got your pain medication today, didn't you? It's great you're not in severe pain for a change. The checker excused himself for a moment and came over and gave me a huge hug and wished me a Happy Valentine's Day" to the astonishment of the customers and went back to work. We headed back home after that bit of fun, I was good for a couple more stops but we both decided that the work force wasn't ready for me. Have you had any fun the past few days????

I have had a busy few days, and will have a few more busy days ahead. I am going to space the busy stuff with working on bears and relaxing. My really great piece of super news came last night when one of my dear friends called me and told me that she went back in the hospital and is going into a rehab for her broken hip rather than have her husband take care of her. She was home two days and it definitely didn't work out...that will come out in my discussion post...anyway it's a huge relief, I hate that she may have to go out of the county for her rehab, but she can't deal with her "husband" and his tantrums. I am feeling so much happier myself, and looking forward to enjoying being alive. As I decided a few days ago, "If it ain't fun, I don't want to do it!" I'm already following the thought and things are looking so much better. It goes hand in glove with my not watching the news every night. There is so much horrific stuff going on in the world, stuff that I can't do anything about, and it was bringing me down so far and so hard...it was like in the song "Lord, I could use a little good news today". I get my weather from the computer and keep on going. I have to say I love your posts and the good news that they spread. They keep me smiling, THANK YOU!!!

I also have a "cutie" at my pharmacy that I love to tease too. His clerks get the biggest kick out of it. I went in Monday to get my pain meds and I had to tease him that he lives at the pharmacy and has a bed, a kitchenette and a 60 inch big screen TV in the back room. Especially when I happened to check my pain meds and he had put a "Adult proof" lid on the bottle. He was even laughing when I finished teasing him. But he is really cute! So is the one at the grocery store!!!

Good story!! I had a giggle at the boutique yesterday. Our lady that makes sweets for the boutique dropped off a few special orders she had taken for pick up. I didn't go look at them but knew they were in the refrigerator in the back. The first lady that picked up ordered chocolate covered strawberries with a message written out with a letter on each strawberry. Best _ick Ever The bad part was that she brought her 3 sons in to pick them up with her and they wanted to read it. I quickly slipped it into a bag for her, but got a laugh out of it.

I am so loaded with so many tasks lately. For this reason, I was not able to come here or there. Although I have been productive these past few days, in my absence here.

It is so great to have a LOT of the pressure off me. I am thoroughly enjoying being able to have fun and flirt with the cute guys at the grocery store and my pharmacy. I also love hitting the thrift shops around my area. You never know what you'll find. I have lucked out and found Steiff teddy bears that are worth quite a bit of money, and I have gotten them for a dollar or two. I am always open for the fun days of shopping and hitting stores with the "cuties" and the great things that I need. As I decided, if it ain't fun I don't want to do it!
