Romance in the Movies

I have some favorite movies with romance in them. I thought it would be fun to see if you had some too. Here is a list of movies and such with a romantic bent to them. Somewhere in Time......Oh my gosh. This one is so full of it. How hard he tried to get back to her. This one is at the top of my list. I suppose many things Titanic had some romance in it. Do you? I'm sort of on the fence on this one. The cartoon ones too.......Like The Lady and the Tramp. The spaghetti scene. So sweet. And, of course, I feel Cinderella is romantic and Prince Charming trying so hard to find her after the ball. Beauty and the Beast maybe. The Beauty and the Beast TV series had it too. Are there others that strike you as romantic?

My favorite, hands down, is An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant. The others you mentioned are also good.

Oh, yeah. Did you know that the Grand Hotel had an annual event where Christoper Reeves and Jane Seymour would come, there were memorabilia available, a dance in period clothes and it was quite an event. I don't know if Jane still goes or if it still goes on. I haven't gotten anything in the mail like I used to.

@RebeccasFarm .......I imagined buying a period piece to wear and going. That was back a few decades when Reeves was still with us.

I loved The Lady and the Tramp. I consider Casablanca to have some romance. An Officer and a Gentleman is another, there are so many.

I see a little in those I suppose. I guess the older films would have more in them I think.

@celticeagle I agree, the modern movies almost have no romance.

I have some but perhaps my favorite is not for everyone. I prefer romance with twisted ending or something real with less romantic scene such as 'Marriage Story' with Scarlet Johansson and Adam Driver or the romance story of Daenerys in Game of Thrones and the romance part in 'Forrest Gump'. Titanic is OK but not exactly my favorite.

Depends on what version of Titanic you're referring to. James Cammorn's version, which arguably is the most popular, is a love story with the ship as the background. Though, my favorite version, is the made-for-t.v. two-part movie released a year prior. It was more historical, but had hints of romance as well. As for "romantic movies" you can count every movie Disney made during their renance age. Ah, hell, just about every animated film they've released had some elements. With it being the general rule, and a few outliers being the exception.
