I had pork and green salad for dinner.

But the green salad was much better because it was cold. I just cannot stand even warm food with this heat.
Tomorrow, when I go with my brother and his wife to the Chinese restaurant I don´t know what will I do. For one thing, I will not ask for rice to go with my main dish.
If I went with Dixie and Humberto who are my real family, I´d only ask for apetizers.
The green salad I made had the last half of the avocado, olives filled with jalapeños and lots of lettuce. I did not use lemon juice for the dressing but poured some of the vinegary water that was in the olice can. The rest was oil and salt. Delicious!
My very thin nighties are drying out as today Juanita washed them. I´m wearing now an ancient T shirt that I love. I discovered that one of the thin mighties was too old to take to Dixie´s so I guess I´ll have to take a thin bathrobe to have breakfast with Dixie and Humberto.
I´m now sure yet if I will go on Wednesday or Thursday. I will see what I can do.
Meanwhile I´m resting at home. I have enough food to eat all I want when I want. I already filled Luna´s dish and previously killed ants around it with boiling water.

I´ll check it. I haven´t gone to the restaurant for many years as there´s a very good one very near my house.

@LadyDuck My very own Chinese restaurant is very good. And I can buy dishes to eat at home. I sometimes buy a dish there if I am near it and serve it with rice I cook here.

@marguicha When we lived in Monte Carlo, we had a small Vietnamese restaurant that was very good, just in front of our apartment building.

Winter or summer, I love a good green salad. Yours sounds delicious.

I tried a new recipe for Shepherd’s Pie. I make Shepherd’s Pie often, but this recipe was somewhat different so I went with it. My son practically inhaled it, so I guess it was a success! He likes basically anything associated with mashed potatoes, and I piled them on top a bit thick, but I heard no complaints. We had a green salad as well. I had soup and left the pie thing for him. I know he will eat it leftover as well.

Shepherd´s pie is a favorite dish for me. I like potatoes any way. Now I´m craving for some because potatoes are very expensive for some reason and I was dumb enough to think that I could eat only pasta and rice instead.

@MarieCoyle The problem in supermarkets is that they sell these expensive potatoes in big bags. And with this heat they "grow".

For some reason, right now our potatoes are not that expensive, at least not as bad as they were. But much of our produce has gone way up in price, and I imagine it will get even worse.
Buy yourself some potatoes, you are worth it!!

I remember that the last time Istayed at Dixie, when I went to Camila´s concert and Dixie would not let me call for an Uber so late that I simply slept on the bed with my clothes on. Dixie was going to start her vacations the next day so I decided that I´d just take my pills and a toothbrush. I went to the concert wearing some white Bermudas and thin blouse I had bought when I went to Aruba. It seems that now our climate will be similar to the Caribbean.
