The call that did not came

Sachin was my best college buddy.After finishing college he was pursuing higher studies.He was doing Ph.D from one of the reputed IITs,I visited his place in 2022 Sept. only.We shared great moments. He promised me after his Ph.D he will call me,come to my place;we will have fun.But,that call did not come.Last year on 31st March he committed suicide due to some forced mental pressure created by his guide.

@tom_view Most people don't, but that's why we need to find that balance between being a pest and giving them space.

Oh that is so sad to hear!
The rigors of the modern life, expectations from self or family, lack of support at work place or the place of study.
So many factors lead to folks taking such drastic actions.
I hope that things improve in India.
Mental Health is receiving more attention in India but socially, we lack empathy for people who face different turmoils in life.
