Dharmashala weather for the 5th cricket test v England!

Northampton, England
February 26, 2024 4:52pm CST
India finished off England and Bazball in the 4th cricket test to take a 3 tests to 1 lead with one to go. Bazball was eventually washed away with three straight test wins as India win their 14th starlight test series at home and Eng;land lose their first series under Ben Stokes. The final test is in Dharmashala, India, the beautiful new cricket ground there that sits snug to the Himalayan foothills. The weather forecast is not good and although the BBC forecast seems a bit over the top its not going to be warm. It has snowed before at cricket in Eng;and but I dont recall a test match anywhere having snow. At least the Eng;and team will be more at home in that kind of weather,

Looks like they have arranged to have their own weather meet them there!

Not a sports fan but best of luck to all the players and hope it all goes well despite the weather.

I have stayed near this place for two months from August to October 2001. It didn't snow then. The mean sea elevation is around 1500 M. It does snow especially in higher reaches but probably in late December and January. Chances of snow in late February are low. In news, it was said that the weather in this Hill Valley ground is more "English -like". Yet the way the English team was beaten in this last match surprised me. Bazball disappeared and well, the English batsmen looked in pressure. I think Johnny Bairstow was much below par except for one or two innings. One cannot expect Joe Root to bail out England everytime. However, as a whole I enjoyed the ebbs and flow of this series!

@thedevilinme Bazball cannot be a single point solution. Pitches, bowlers, conditions like wind, humidity, heat or cold vary everywhere. What works in New Zealand won't work in Australia. What can be an asset in English conditions cannot be the same as in India. England however won the first match against odds and gave good fight in a few others.
