Officials with the North Carolina Wildlife are warning people in the state to be careful i they see a bear outside of their homes not to mess with the bears during the remainder of the winter season since they want to live in peace. A bear was seen coming out of a vent opening inside a home where the bear was staying for the winter in a city in North Carolina on Friday February 23. The good news is that the bear seen coming out of the open vent in the house in the unknown city did not harm anyone. In my case if I did see bear in the woods in Louisiana I would keep my distance from the animal. Link is upi.com/1801709070735 via @upi

Bear are quite timid and they don't want to come in contact with people. But, if the bear have young, they would fight anyone to protect their babies. I'd be afraid if a bear was in my yard!

@Deepizzaguy All wild animals are dangerous, but some people don't fear them.

I saw that bear coming out of the vent (on tv) and what a scary thought to think it had been hibernating in there. I don't know how that big bear managed to squeeze in there.

@Marilynda1225 The same feelings I have about how the bear got inside a home.

Bear or no bear I love animals so I would take a look at where at a distance from my house I could place a pail with food for the bear

Bears are getting very bold when looking for food. They can open car doors and are breaking into homes.

That is true since when a bear wants to eat a meal, they will do what they have to do to eat to survive.

I have noticed that the behavior of bears is that they are shy and do not like to hear noises.

I wonder if the owner knew they had a bear in their vent during the winter. I'm glad no one was hurt when the bear came out of the vent.

It is not known if the owner of the home knew that there was a bear inside of the home or not.

That was a whole new type of a cave for a bear to spend his winter in. The people did not know that there was a resident bear there all winter, it seemed. If a cave could not be found, I guess this bear just grinned, and beared it.
