How much of your writing is done by hand these days?

Time flies so fast, and things have changed in terms of jotting down on a piece of paper. During my school days, I loved to write notes in my notebooks, and my handwriting was done beautifully. These days, I do not write that much anymore, except when dribbling my fingers on the keyboard. Since my niece is in grade 7, I keep telling her to work on her writing skills using a pen and paper. It can never be wrong to have good penmanship, as they say. When you were a student, did you prefer to write notes down or type them? Do you believe that penmanship will become obsolete in the future? Image Credit: content.artofmanliness.com

I still write my notes down, using paper and pen.

I only do it for my grocery checklist. If ever, I will do it more if I am working offline.

@Shavkat - I often take manual notes. My computer is upstairs in the "computer room", when I am downstairs I take manual notes.

@LadyDuck It has been a long time that I have not done my dairy. In years, I find it not interesting to do it anymore. I prefer to write about some parts of my life here.

I prefer to write by hand new words in a foreign language. Writing the words is very useful.

I am planning to keep a journal again and do it daily. It focuses more on handwriting. However, I considered MyLot to be my diary virtually.

Not as much as I used to considering we now have computer technology.

I never had very good hand-writing and now I'm older it's even worse.

I am not sure if the principle "practice makes perfect" works with this matter.

I'm still writing notes to myself to remind me of something I need to do. I will often use a notebook to jot down thoughts or draft a letter. My penmanship is not what it used to be though, lol.

I also noticed my penmanship changed, and it was not the way it used to be.

@dgobucks226 I agree. During my school days, I loved taking notes, and my notebooks were so good without typographical errors, so to speak.

@Shavkat Hmm, mine started changing when I went to college. Taking lecture notes and trying to keep up by writing quickly will do that, lol.

This is a good question. Indeed, I seldom use my pen to write now.

I sometimes do write, especially if I am helping my niece with her homework from school.
