It's Time For Ice Cream / myLot

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? While I like several flavors, my favorite is vanilla. Some think that is boring, but for me, the vanilla ice cream is a canvas for adding other things to it that would not taste good to me. My favorite topping is canned cherry pie filling. I can greatly overeat that concoction. Another favorite is homemade strawberry sauce made specifically for shortcake but is really good on top of vanilla ice cream along with Honey Nut Blenders cereal (Malt O Meal). I also like butterscotch topping which is NOT the same as the caramel topping you find most places these days. I can handle chocolate, and hot fudge toppings also, but not my favorites.

Vanilla is my favourite too. As you say, it's a base for adding other flavours.

Butterscotch has LONG been my favorite! It was popular in the 60s, but caramel took over. I like coffee ice cream with toffee chips and am particularly fond of Cherry Garcia I used to love cherry vanilla as a kid but that's not easy to find. I liked a Kemps flavor called Bear Tracks which was Vanille with tiny little chocolate cups filled with caramel. Here in NJ, I have found Moose Tracks which is similar, but with peanut butter cups. Chocolate chip mint and cookie dough are also good.
