Day 51 – Assignment Exodus 3:1 Now Moses tended the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God (Elohiym). 2 The Angel (Malak) of the LORD (Jehovah) appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, but was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” 4 When the LORD (Jehovah) saw that he turned aside to look, God (Elohiym) called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” He said, “Here I am.” 5 Then He said, “Do not draw near to this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” 6 Moreover He said, “I am the God (Elohiym) of your father—the God (Elohiym) of Abraham, the God (Elohiym) of Isaac, and the God (Elohiym) of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God (Elohiym). 7 The LORD (Jehovah) said: “I have seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 8 I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now, therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” 11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 He said, “I will certainly be with you. This will be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will serve God (Elohiym) on this mountain.” 13 Then Moses said to God (Elohiym), “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God (Elohiym) of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what will I say to them?” 14 God (Elohiym) said to Moses, “I AM (Hayah, haw-yaw) WHO I AM (Hayah).” He said, “Thus you will say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM (Hayah) has sent me to you.’” 15 Moreover, God (Elohiym) said to Moses, “Thus you will say to the children of Israel: ‘The LORD (Jehovah) God (Elohiym) of your fathers, the God (Elohiym) of Abraham, the God (Elohiym) of Isaac, and the God (Elohiym) of Jacob, sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ 16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The LORD (Jehovah) God (Elohiym) of your fathers, the God (Elohiym) of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt; 17 and I said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.’” 18 Then they will heed your voice; and you will come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you will say to him, ‘The LORD (Jehovah) God (Elohiym) of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD (Jehovah) our God (Elohiym).’ 19 But I am certain the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. 20 So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go. 21 I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it will be, when you go, that you will not go empty-handed. 22 Every woman will ask of her neighbor, namely, of her who dwells near her house, articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and on your daughters. So, you will plunder the Egyptians.” God’s name: Elohiym – Mighty God Jehovah – Self-existent, Eternal Hayah – I AM – To Exist Malak – Ambassador – Angel God’s Character: Deliverer Have you received an assignment; and you didn’t know how to accomplish it? Even with the instructions, you couldn’t see a way to do what they asked. Elohiym called Moses from a burning bush and told him he would lead His people to the Promised Land. To do that, he needed to go to Pharaoh, and request that he let Israel go. When Moses asked Jehovah for His name, Elohiym told him, to tell His people Hayah told him they would leave Egypt and go to a land of milk and honey. However, Elohiym told him Pharaoh would not let His people go until He showed him His mighty power. When Elohiym calls you to work for Him and the job seems impossible, what do you do? Moses asked for proof of who He was who asked him to do the impossible. You do the same. You ask for proof that Elohiym called you to do the task. You ask questions. You give scenarios of situations that could stand in your way. You want to know beyond a shadow of doubt that what Elohiym called you to do, you could do it. Every day, Elohiym gives you something to do for Him. Do you, do it? Or does the task seem impossible, and you expect it wasn’t Elohiym who called you to do the work? You even rebuke Satan for putting such thoughts in your mind. Yet the thoughts persist because Elohiym called you to the work He has for you. When you realize Elohiym called you to an impossible task, then you ask for instructions on how to accomplish what Elohiym called you to do. What has Elohiym called you to do for Him? Ask for guidance, instructions on how to accomplish His will for you. He will provide you with everything you need for the task. Let’s pray: Father, when You call me to do Your work, let me say, here I am. Give me Your instructions on how to accomplish Your work and let me do it to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 9 March 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

I think Elohiym has called me to be an intercessor. Thank you for today's bible study. I think if I see a bush on fire that is not burning, I would be scared but Moses was amazed.

That's a good calling. You're welcome. I think I would be both scared and amazed at the same time. Have a blessed day.

@just4him I hope so. Do you think that each person has a mission? Maybe I don't have a mission.
