A busy Sunday

Yesterday was hubby’s birthday. In the evening, we went to his mother’s house to celebrate. She ordered Georgian food. The kebabs were dry and overcooked, but other things were pretty good. It was a good time though I wish we had actually gone out to celebrate. Hubby didn’t want to for some reason.
I had a lot of time to kill before the dinner, so first I went to the mall and bought hubby Puma joggers (if that’s what they are called) for his birthday. Then I went to Lidl and got olive oil, wild lavender honey, and petite peas. The olive oil there is way cheaper than in other stores. I got 1L for under nine dollars.
After that, I took the bus to Brooklyn and went to an outlet store to get myself some clothes. My mother-in-law had gifted me $300 for my birthday so I could buy myself some tops or pants. I ended up getting five things and it cost about $227. I got a pair of pants and four tops. Two of the items were 70% off and the others were 20% off. I also got a free gift for spending that much. It was a little cute bag. I didn’t really need it, but it was free, so why not.

Thanks. He turned 42.
Sometimes having a productive day out of the house (even with a long commute) is better than sitting home all day.

@lovebuglena I usually don't mind being home; but I do mind being home and being alone every day. Once and a while I need to see someone or to get out for a little bit.

Thank you. He seemed to really like the Pumas. He didn't expect anything from me lol so he was very pleasantly surprised when I gave them to him.
I wonder why Lidl can sell it for so low when others are selling for a way higher price. I haven't tried it yet so hope it will be good.
Giving me $300 was definitely generous. I am glad I was able to get myself some things and I still have some money left over to get something else.
