Day 55 – Signs and Wonders Exodus 7:1 The LORD (Jehovah) said to Moses, “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. 2 You will say all I command you. Aaron your brother will say to Pharaoh to send the children of Israel out of his land. 3 I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply My signs and wonders in the land of Egypt. 4 Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. 5 The Egyptians will know I am the LORD (Jehovah), when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.” 6 Then Moses and Aaron did so; just as the LORD (Jehovah) commanded them, so they did. 7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh. 8 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, 9 “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you will say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’” 10 Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD (Jehovah) commanded. Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; the magicians of Egypt, also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. 13 Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the LORD (Jehovah) had said. 14 The LORD (Jehovah) said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning, when he goes out to the water, and you will stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent you will take in your hand. 16 You will say to him, ‘The LORD (Jehovah) God (Elohiym) of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness”; but indeed, until now you would not hear! 17 ‘Thus says the LORD (Jehovah): “By this you will know that I am the LORD (Jehovah). Behold, I will strike the waters which are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they will turn to blood. 18 The fish in the river will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will loathe to drink the water of the river.”’” 19 Then the LORD (Jehovah) spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, rivers, ponds, and over all their pools of water, that they may become blood. There will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in buckets of wood and pitchers of stone.’” 20 Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD (Jehovah) commanded. He lifted the rod and struck the waters in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. All the waters in the river were turned to blood. 21 The fish in the river died, the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. 22 Then the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments; and Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the LORD (Jehovah) had said. 23 Pharaoh turned and went into his house. Neither was his heart moved by this. 24 So all the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the river. 25 Seven days passed after the LORD (Jehovah) had struck the river. God’s name: Jehovah – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Yeshuwa – Jesus Qodesh Ruwach – Holy Wind, Breath Adonay – Proper name for God God’s character: Judge Deliverer Many people look for signs when they start different projects. They want to know whether it’s something they should do, or let it go. When everything goes right, they call it fate. When it goes wrong, they call it fate. Jehovah told Moses and Aaron He would do signs and wonders in Egypt until Pharoah let His people go. He told them He would harden Pharaoh’s heart so He could bring the signs and wonders against Egypt. Then Pharaoh and the Egyptians would know Elohiym was Jehovah and let Israel go. Jehovah’s first sign was when Aaron cast his rod before Pharaoh, and it became a serpent and swallowed up the magician’s rods when they became serpents. Jehovah’s first wonder was when He turned the rivers to blood. The first plague lasted seven days. When Elohiym tells you to do something, do you look for signs and wonders from Him? Do you lay a fleece before Him to prove He told you to do whatever He told you? Gideon looked for a sign that Elohiym would save the people through him. Judges 6:36 So Gideon said to God (Elohiym), “If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said— 37 look, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on the ground, then I will know You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said.” You want to be certain before you step out in faith to do Elohiym’s will. Elohiym showed Gideon He would be with him. He also showed Moses He would bring Israel out of Egypt through the signs and wonders. What sign did you ask of Jehovah to know whether He told you to do the work He called you to do? Elohiym gave a sign to the shepherds that His Son was born. He worked miracles through Yeshuwa when He said the kingdom of Elohiym had come to them. He worked His signs and wonders through the apostles when the Holy Spirit (Qodesh Ruwach) descended in flames of fire on their heads on Pentecost and the church started. Elohiym will work His signs and wonders in the last days, during the Tribulation. Elohiym wants people to know He is Adonay. What signs did you ask for and Jehovah gave you a sign to show you He called you to do His work? Then do it with all your strength, without hesitation. Let’s pray: Father, Your signs and wonders are everywhere. You want people to know You are Adonay alone. Let me know Your will through Your signs and wonders and give me Your strength as I go out without hesitation to do Your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. I think God loves people so much that he won't hesitate to do signs to prove His word. But I personally wouldn't want to ask for a sign because I wouldn't want to look like I don't believe. I think the signs Jehovah does should help us overcome doubt and build faith. Thank you for the bible study.

Isaiah asked Ahaz to have God show him a sign. He gave him the same response, so Isaiah gave him God's sign. Isaiah 7:11 "Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above." 12 But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!" 13 Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? 14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." (NKJV) God wants you to ask for a sign. Have a blessed day.

@just4him Thank you for sharing those verses. I had completely forgotten about that part of scripture. I will need to change my thinking. Maybe I should ask God for a sign but I don't know what to ask. Have a blessed day too

It impressed me greatly that Aaron and Moses were in their eighties when they were called by God to do those works !
