I am not a sports fan!

So, I had NO idea what a UFC sport was or anyone who was involved.
However, heroes aren't always made.
I, for one, actually don't consider most 'sports' people heroes. They are athletes. They are fit. Some of them are nice people, some border on great people.
But heroes are something else.
So, when I heard about this former UFC champion doing something - was it heroic?
Well, yes.
There was a house fire and he got his parents out safely. He did, personally, receive smoke inhalation injuries, but his family are calling him a hero.
I was not there. Did he pick up his parents in his well built arms? Did he wake them when the fire started and got them out of the house? I don't know. But his parents are calling him a hero.
And, I would have to say I agree.
Mark Coleman, 59, has been hospitalized since Tuesday following the early-morning fire, which broke out at his parents' home in Fremont, Ohio, his family said.

His dog barking him woke him up, and after he carried his parents out he went back for his dog, but couldn’t save him. The UFC is a dirty world, but some people manage to keep parts of themselves clean, and this guy did.
People really need to invest in smoke alarms, and constantly check the batteries.

Anyone who saves someone from a fire is a hero, whether they're an overpaid athlete or not.
Too bad about the dog, who also is a hero by alerting him to the danger.
