Did Trump really say this? Or are the bed-wetters using AI?

I am reading today that Donald Trump cannot afford the bond he has to pay so he can appeal his fraud case. But if he's a multi-billionaire, shouldn't such a payment be easy, especially if he'll get it back eventually? Both Hottie Habba and Donald himself have said that he has over $400,000,000 in cash. Then I'm reading that he said Joe Biden defeated Barack Obama. Biden never ran against Barack Obama. OK, maybe this quotation was taken out of context. I'll have to do a bit more DD. I have to head to work. Do you think the Dems (and Dem journalists) are using AI to make Trump look like an idiot?

They don't need AI to do that. All they have to do is just let him speak.

@Fleura Of course I was "playing dumb." I don't think any AI was involved.

I wouldn't put it past them. However, weather he has the money or not is a moot point. People, particurally rich people, aren't going to easily fork over money if they can find a way around it. Claiming not to have the money readily avaible, is one way of doing so. Which isn't exactly a lie. Most people's money is tied into their businesses, their assets and the stock market.

If he forks over the cash, he may not have to pay interest on it.

According to Michael Cohen, and others, he really fears prison. I think he also fears being exposed as being less "rich" than he claims.

@TheHorse - I think he fears prison more than the fact that people think he is less rich than he claims. Just consider one asset, the Trump Tower Triples, that one is worth 330 million dollars. Trump Park Avenue another 300 million and Mar a Lago another 300 million. He plays the poor not to pay.

@LadyDuck Does he own those properties outright? Or is he paying a "mortgage" on them, like us normal folks when we buy a house?

He isn't rich. Just a con artist who is running out of tricks

@wolfgirl569 I'd have to agree with that statement. "He has done it to himself"

What does he have left? No wife. No son. No money. No dignity. I almost feel for him.

I think he isn't really a multi-billionaire, isn't that the point of the case? (or one of the cases?) That he artificially inflated his worth?

@Happy2BeMe How can one squander such a fortune? His father was brutal, but he was a "successful" businessman.

Odd that such a once-wealthy but unintelligent man could see so clearly into the hearts of the bitter and disenfranchised.
