Crochet? Looks neat!

Let me state emphatically that this is not my work.
I saw it on Facebook and sent a screenshot to my profile, tagging my niece. She says she would like to try it.
Personally, although I crochet, I cannot imagine making this lovely blanket or afghan. It looks very heavy and warm too.
