The oldest countries in the world

The list of the oldest countries in the world is out, with Egypt as number 1 and china taking the second position. Greece, Ira (Persia), Japan, India, Ethiopia, Armenia, San Marino and Portugal completing the top 10 list . Do you agree with this list or do you think the world has more older nations.

Portugal is old, the Kingdom of Portugal was founded in 1143, that is close to the time that Monaco, Sweden and Andorra were also founded. Denmark and England are older than Portugal.

@grenery8 San Marino is a lot older as it is independent since the year 301.

I am not sure which is the oldest, I only know that it is important to remember the old ways.

This is the list of countries that STILL exist, there are some older countries of the past that do not exist anymore. The Roman Empire was older, but it's no more, while San Marino obtained independence from Roman Empire in 301 and still exists and I visited it.

@ogbenishyna San Marino is in the Italian peninsula. We went there when we were vacationing on the Adriatic sea. We have also visited Portugal.
