I met with the building supervisor this morning to go over his thoughts on the lesson he observed. I received the best score I've ever gotten from him this year so I wasn't expecting any problems. . . and there were none. He was pleased with my presentation, my moving around the room, my calling on students to keep them on their toes, and the fact that I called out students who put their head down or who were on their phone. He said that he found the information very interesting (I'm sure the students did not) and he liked that I included personal stories and examples to show real-life connections. I showed pictures of tortoiseshell kittens that I fostered in the past when I was involved with animal rescue and also the species of parrot that I used to have with its dimorphic coloring. (different colors based on sex) He said "I didn't know that about you!" I replied "Believe it or not outside this building I actually am a pretty cool person." Hopefully he will remember the observation when it is time to make next year's schedule. I truly hate forensic science.

I am a bit confused, If he liked the way you presented forensic science wouldn't he assign another class like this to you next year,

Well, when you make something relatable, it tends to stick.

Students have changed from having cellphones in their possessions on them from my time in schools in the 1960-1970s when students did not have electrical items on their possession.
